What is North Jackson Futures?

North Jackson Futures is the official all-star program of North Jackson Youth Baseball & Softball (NJYB), created to recognize and extend the development of top-performing players from the spring recreational league.

Launched in Spring 2023, the Futures program serves as the next step for young athletes looking to continue their growth through competitive play. After the conclusion of the NJYB spring season, standout players from each age group are selected to represent the organization in a series of all-star tournaments across Central Mississippi.

The program includes multiple teams per age group, offering opportunities in both baseball and softball. Futures teams compete in a focused, short-season format during the summer, allowing players to build on their skills, experience tournament play, and represent North Jackson with pride.

North Jackson Futures is a key component of NJYB’s player development pathway—designed to reward effort, celebrate talent, and provide a fun, competitive environment that builds both skill and character.
